As school approaches, more and more cases of monkeypox are being detected among children.

Three more cases of monkeypox associated with the start of school were confirmed in children.


Monkeypox is still spreading rapidly around the world.

The US has reported its first two cases in children.

On July 22, the CDC announced that it had two separate cases of children with monkeypox.

Brazil has now reported three more pediatric cases.

A 4-year-old boy and his 6-year-old daughter were each affected.


However, the virus has previously affected children in outbreaks in Central and West African countries where it is endemic.
